Proceed with Caution

I have not left many reviews in my life but I feel like I owe this to people out there looking to get into solar, as my experience with BrightHouse has cost my business so much money and energy and I would hate for anyone to go through the same thing.

I have gotten two solar installations done by Brighthouse, both of which have had ongoing problems.

(1) Our first system was designed with an inadequate combination of equipment, resulting in the battery not charging to its full capacity and, eventually, the inverter malfunctioning.

(2) The second system's design was also inaccurately assessed, requiring me to purchase a generator to compensate for its inefficiency. Plus they damaged the walls during the installation despite repeated reminders to be careful and nothing was done about it.

(3) The installation of the third inverter that was purchased as a result of the initial design flaw (1) was a complete failure from the start. It later took over a month to correct, costing me money and causing a revenue loss. Once again, nothing was done to rectify it.

And now, coincidentally, two of the three pieces of equipment on a system less than 10 months old suddenly stop working.

No one from management will answer my calls, I have to repeatedly remind them to get back to my emails, and when they eventually do they ignore most of it and reply to one or two lines. I then decided to track down the supplier where they got the equipment to find out what was going on and finally got a straight answer from them, who also told me that they loan units that could have been installed on the same day that I first started having issues. It's been over 2 weeks since this last issue started and I still don't have power.

I realise that I am not their only client and am probably a small client in comparison to others but I am unable to turn anywhere else otherwise I will lose my warranty, so I'm forced to continue fighting with them to sort this out.

BrightHouse is one of those companies that is 100% attentive during the system design and installation process, but as soon as that's done you're on your own. Completely reluctant to solve any issues.

There are some good, genuine people working at that company but their hands are tied due to poor organization and utter lack of responsibility by management.
