Bridgement is definitely not to be trusted

Bridgement will use your personal information to run a credit check for a loan application, this is not Business Funding like they make it sound. They just apply for a loan from the bank on your behalf and add their commission. Their repayments are high and the banks still have the final word. If you need a loan rather go to the bank and pay less interest. If your business has a turnover of 1 Million Rand or less, don't bother, they won't make much money out of you. Most of these positive reviews are not real. Every time these agencies run a credit check using your ID number, it affects your credit score negatively and you lose up to 12 Points or even more. Think twice before entertaining them.

Hi Nadine, we're sorry your business was not eligible for funding from Bridgement at this point in time and sincerely hope you manage to successfully source the funding you need elsewhere.
Please note, Bridgement is not an intermediary for banks and provides funding (using its own balance sheet) directly to thousands of SMEs across South Africa for almost 10 years.
All credible and responsible business lending institutions in South Africa run credit checks on applicants to ensure responsible lending and to avoid over-indebting borrowers. This is clearly stated in Bridgement's website T&Cs and its privacy policy. Additionally, each applicant explicitly consents to these credit checks when completing our online application. This is all in accordance with legal and ethical requirements within the industry for responsible lending and is standard procedure for loan applications.
