Brenaissance nightmare

Bad experience,

We had our wedding at the Brenaissance Chapel in September 2024. It was required that we pay a refundable breakage deposit, which we've done and all amounts due we're settled before their due dates. The wedding day was beautiful and we had the best wedding day despite the mix up of our rooms - my husband had to settle for the less expensive vineyard suite after we had paid for an Orchard suite, he couldn't even use the shower in the room because the shower floods. We've been promised a complimentary voucher for their mishap of booking my husband's room to another couple and making him stay in the vineyard suite the night before our wedding. We're still waiting for this voucher to this day!! On top of that, we haven't received our refundable breakage deposit yet. Mind you, it's now been 7 weeks after the wedding while they guarantee you that the refund will be processed within 2 weeks after the wedding!! We've been really patient for the past 7 weeks but imagine being told by the venue manager, time and time again for 7 WEEKS that the matter will be followed up on and that she'll get back to you, but NEVER does. I have to call after her every time and she can never give me an answer as to why we still haven't received our refund. It was escalated last week Monday directly to the owner, Haley, by the previous venue manager (who left Brenaissance a few weeks before our wedding but still did us the favour of coordinating our wedding day despite no longer being venue manager), and yet we are still waiting for our refund. So it's not just the new venue manager that is to blame but the owners too, because no way do you as the owner let your client wait another week or more for their refund if its already 6 weeks late! That's not how you conduct business. And now I've already given this place good publicity by posting a tiktok of our wedding day which has gotten over 20k views with many queries about the venue itself.

It has just been a sour end to our wedding experience with Brenaissance and all we want is our refund at this point and be done with this place. If this is how the new management of Brenaissance operates then we would not recommend this venue to anyone. Seriously disappointed and now I'm seeing all these reviews of other people with similar experiences of not getting back their refunds, or bad service from management and theft on the property, etc. Like how is this place still operating? And now I'm more frustrated with myself for not doing proper research about this place before picking it as my wedding venue.
