Breitling does NOT last a lifetime

I've been a Breitling fan for years. I own an Airwolf as well as a Navitimer. Recently my Airwolf was booked in with Breitling for a battery replacement. I was already unhappy, when I was told that it would take ±4 weeks before I would receive a quote and then another 2 months before I would receive it back. In the 21st century??? After six weeks I had to remind them that I am still waiting for the quote. The quote informed me that the LCD screens of the watch also need to be replaced. However (and listen carefully), Breitling no longer supplies the LCD screens separately. One has to buy a complete new movement. That will be R34000, thank you. So, this is the same Breitling that proudly displays their slogan: "A Breitling watch lasts a lifetime". Well, I think NOT! The LCD screens failed in 15 years. That is pathetic!! As an electrical and electronic engineer I know that LCD screens cost a few dollars each. Where do they get R34000 from? Oh yes, I know: GREED! Think again before buying a Breitling. (you may have a short life ahead)
