Rental Deposit Refund

<p>I am very disappointed with the service rendered when I enquired about my rental deposit refund. This agency could not send me the cost breakdown before they transfer the refund so that I could question how they got to the total amount. Items that were not on the checklist I signed when moving out have been added to the deductions and I wasn’t aware of.</p> <p>To make things worse, I paid my deposit with them 3 years back and halfway through my stay on the property, the owner changed to agency to another, and then back again. That’s is not my business as to how they make agreements with the owner, all I know is I paid my rental deposit 3 years back and I expect interest incurred to that amount. When I call to enquire, no one relevant I need to communicate with is ever around. I am always promised a call with never materializes.</p> <p>What I need to know is the interest rate percentage? Is it simple interest or compounded annually? And why it is not factored to the deductions? Present value of money cannot be R17.54 difference over 3 years since 2013 to 2016. Please rectify this urgently since I need my proper refund.</p> <p> </p>
