Breezy Plumbing (Pty) Ltd review of works and after sales support
I honestly feel that it is only fair that the general public at large have the ability to gain an honest review of the works undertaken by Breezy Plumbing (Pty) Ltd, their website states that they have years of experience, we engaged their "services" on an extension project to our home last year AUG 2022 - (I found out a few weeks in once we had begun this project that Tyron was still awaiting his certification, this business only started in 2021, they also make reference to being experts in repairs and fixes) - well, we encountered issues pretty much "off the bat" with this plumbing outfit, every mistake they made they blamed on the builder, the fact is that Tyron and his team are incredibly inexperienced plumbers who had never actually undertaken a project of this nature prior (this was the feedback that was eventually provided by his worker Nkosi) - we endured one problem after another, some of them the most basic rookie mistakes, for example, the hole in the wall for the toilet drain pipe was far too high, the toilet itself was mounted skew, the tap valves were installed either too deep into the walls and some far to close that you couldn't even put the surrounds on them to hide the holes in the tiles afterwards, when it eventually came to the end of the project, after weeks of valve leaks, having to open and close the tiling over and over, the cost of the materials on the final invoice was grossly inflated, I was told that I had agreed to a minimum cost quote and was subsequently being charged accordingly, however, the quote was costed on the basis to include for copper piping installation in the walls which was never done, (the entire installation was performed using Tectite piping), it was also agreed that a project cost reconciliation exercise would take place on the conclusion of the project which was simply a "non truth" as the billing reflected line items of so called discounts for their return trips to fix their mistakes, I eventually negotiated a settlement figure with the accountant after providing a report of what had actually taken place on this fiasco of a project, so far we have had leaks on seven of the nine valves, the shower mixer has now had leaks on three of the four connections, I requested Tyron to return to "fix" a leak in January on the shower mixer (5 months after the initial installation was done) - he reviewed the photos I provided on WhatsApp messaging and rep**** saying: "oh no, I don't think this is a leak, it looks like a rising damp issue" - this was on an existing wall !! we do not (and have never had a damp issue on this wall) so, I removed the tiling and of course found that a connection that he had done was leaking, he did return to replace this fitting, I undertook all the remedial works myself and at my own cost, now, at the moment (7 months later) we have leaks on another two of the connections on this same shower mixer installation, (so that is now a 75% failure rate on just this one connection junction), I have had to remove all the tiling again to "re-open" this installation to get another plumber, a reputable plumber this time, to redo all this work, we have had to repaint the walls on the first event, now with this second leak we have water damage to our carpets, a chest of drawers which is now wet and of course, we cannot use our bathroom, you can expect that Tyron will not return your phone calls, I have the call logs and WhatsApp messaging to support, will find every excuse to deploy the blame game and is most certainly not a 24/7 operation as they claim to be, you are most welcome to contact me for a detailed report on what was done at our property, I am simply trying to warn a would be customer of the experiences we have endured with Breezy Plumbing - it is only fair that folks have a platform where they can be forewarned, I most certainly wish I had known -BEWARE, BEWARE, BEWARE !!
