100% Payment Upfront. 50% Incomplete 1 year later.
I paid over R75k to renovate the kitchen & bedroom in my 47sq meter 1 bedroom apartment. I paid in full as required before work began mid Oct 2014. It was supposed to be complete in 2 weeks. After 10 months of stop & start efforts they disappeared with my money and failed to finish the job. I sent letters of demand to which the owner, John Wilken rep**** very rudely. My project manager Rudi Viljoen **** & over promised repeatedly. It will cost me R50k to repair and complete the work they began. My plumbing & electricals were left in an unfinished mess. They cheated on materials & inserts eg spicerack, pullout bin, under cupboard LED light. The cupboards were shorter than the height paid for on the bill of materials. Materials also took months to arrive indicating that they were not custom ordered. Colors were incorrect, shelves weren't fully installed etc. To this day they refuse to complete my project or respond. They demanded 100% payment, did 50% of the job then ran. CONSUMERS: Please do your homework. Look for user reviews & industry memberships before selecting a company. Brava are not members of the Kitchen Association (KSA) so if they fail, your only recourse is court
This project was completely done 100% according to what was discussed. After the hole kitchen was installed you complained that the Beige gloss and the Beige melamine was not the same color. This after you were explained in detail that you are working with two different materials and that there will be a slight color difference and viewing the samples. You decided to go for the two different material option instead of a full high gloss because your budget did not allow it. I do agree your project did take longer than the norm, not the 10 months like you claim though. Firstly you kept on expecting more than what was agreed to as per the contract and when we ultimately putt a stop to your demands, you started with your campaign against Brava designs. My installers used to get to your house at 08:00 in the morning, just to wait outside for you until 11:00 because you were hung over, fast asleep. It is very easy to just come onto a forum like this and say all kind of things to make the company look bad. There is always two sides to a story, it is just a pity that Hello peter don't investigate these claims before allowing people just to post all kinds of lies.
