Non arrival of the above company's promotion staff

We agreed with the above MD and someone from his promotion company that on 29th May they would supply us - The Dock On The Bay - with 6 Playgirl promotion 'bunnies' in order to drive sales of their various products - Xotic Comet spirit coolers, BYeltzin berry cooler and the Playgirl energy drink. This agreement was confirmed at around 13h00 on the 29th with their MD at The Dock. We made quite a song and dance about this promotion which resulted in our having a full house on the 29th - a golden opportunity for the above company to make its mark in our area! Half an hour after they were due to arrive (20h30) we tried to contact the promotion lady and Lucien - we still naively believed they would honour our agreement - only to have the promo lady not take our call or answer our whatsapp and Lucien to advise that he now - strangely - has two sick children and could therefore not make it to us. He committed to some form of recompense but fails to see my point of view: His refunding us the cost of the product - alcohol and non alcohol will never compensate us for our loss of reputation. The old saying 'caveat emptor - let the buyer be aware' was never more relevant.
