Bad customer service

Good day.

In the middle of October 2015 my daughter's car (2003 Peugeot 307 trip tronic) got stuck on the road. The message on the dashboard computer read "automatic gearbox failure". My daughter contacted her employer and they towed the vechile to the Brakpan Diff and Gearbox Centre, in the East Rand. The owner Martiens looked at the car and said that they needed to replace the gearbox with a new one and it would cost about R14000 00. I then app**** for a RCS loan because my daughter and I did not have the money availible at the moment. I told Martiens they can carry on fixing the car. In the beginning of November 2015 Martiens phoned me and said we have to pay them R10 000.00 of the R14 000.00. They said the can buy a gearbox in Pretoria, which they did and then they told me that the car was in Springs, in the East Rand. After I phoned multiple times I found out that the car is at A.P Gearbox in Springs. I phoned them and spoke to Andrè at A.P Gearbox. Andrè told me that they were busy working on the car and he told me that there was another electrical problem with the car. Then he took the car to a auto electrician in Springs. He said that we would not be able to get the car back because the business was closing for the December holidays. In the second week in January 2016 Martiens phoned me and said that the car was fixed. On the same night we paid another R4000.00 to get the car back. When we drove with the car the next day there were missing gears between gear number 2 & 3. Martiens from Brakpan diff and gearbox came to fetch the car again. He said he will be taking the car to Atlas Gearbox in Boksburg. The guy at Atlas gearbox told me that they needed to replace the gearbox because the one inserted by Andrè was incorrect. They inserted and installed the new gearbox and then they said they needed to send the car to Sparky's Auto Electrician. Costa from Sparky's Auto Electrician checked the car and said it needed a new gearbox control computer. We then ordered the part from Peugeot and paid them R4200 to order the part. We had to tow the car to Peugeot and had to pay another R3800 to have it installed and to reset the car and then the Peugeot did not want to start.

Peugeot then said that we needed to take the car back to Sparky's Auto Electrician. Peugeot then said that Sparky's had to fix the wiring of the car. After a couple of weeks we found out that they could't fix the car because someone had cleared the key codes and there was no one that would be able to reset the codes. Sparky then sold the company and we had to take the car out of their workshop.

After R22 000 spent over a period of nine and a half months we got the car back in August 2016. The car was not running at all and we did not know what to do so we sold the car to someone and he used the spares. In the end we only sold the car for R18 000, which means that we lost alot of money in the process of trying and fixing the car and we had to sold the car for next to nothing.
