Rejection on damaged bought tv stand at Bradlows

Hallow I have received an unfair treatment from Bradlows shop.I paid R4200 on the 17-05-2021 I found out that the top of a tv stand bought was peeling.Now they telling me that I should have complained within 7 days .Kindly assist me with this please.
