Instalment on cateloque not the same when applying for credit

Good day

I have recently app**** for credit via sms to buy furniture (Monday 24 April) and I was told to take my documents to the nearest store and I took them same day.

On Tuesday I received a call from the sales person from the Midrand store telling me its approved, He told me they gave me R20 000 credit and I should visit the store to complete the application.

I went to the store as requested and I signed all the required docs and I asked the lady who was assisting me when are they going to deliver and she said I should wait for a call from Head Office or something like that to confirm if I made the application and they also had to confirm employment and talk to my relatives.

Which is puzzling cause I was told its approved, how did they approve it without confirming employment? And why do they need to speak to my relatives?

The same day I got strange calls whereby the person on the other side doesn’t talk at all

*** the only call I managed to speak to someone, and I told him I am cancelling the credit agreement.
*** Today
*** Tuesday
*** Tuesday, called the number back and the lady rudely hanged up
*** Tuesday
*** Tuesday

On the same breath I don’t understand why the installment on the catalogues is not the same as the one on the contract. Its way to expensive the bed ws R176 per month and the bedroom suite 467 but when they generated the contract it was +/- R1094 for both hows that possible
