My Grandmother Leah Motau have an account with Brdlows Jabulani, She took a bed on lay buy for 6 moths with the store and she was paying every month on the 01st when she received her GRANT. On the 2nd of August 2017 my Granny went to the store and pay she was assistance by Lebo who advised her that she do not owe the store anymore, my granny was so confused and not understanding because she took a lay buy for 6 months. She went again on the 3rd of August 2017 and new lady told her the same thing that she is not owing anything and her account she is in credit. New consultant my Granny that she is new in teh store so she reffered her to Lebo again and Lebo ask my Granny to come with the slips in the Branch so that she can check what happen on her account, of which my Granny do not have the slips cos she is painting the house AND she is staying alone. On the 04th of August 2017. I went with my Granny at the Branch and I have ask for Lebo and she advsied me that the reason why she wanted the receipts is because the system show them that my Granny she is not owing the Bed and her account is in credit then my Granny choose to take something in the branch with her credit, then she took a STOVE worth R4999.99 and the balance left was R4000 something of which we said we want it and Lebo advised us that as my Granny do not have the bank account, we can go to the SAPS and do an affidaviet and send the docs she requested for the refund to be processed. The very same day around 13h00 we received a call from SANA the lady working with Lebo in the store and she ask if my Granny want Microwave and I said No, before that she called and asking about my Granny's account and I told her that my Granny made a 6 months lay bye with them and she was paying monthly and with my knowledge the item needs to be delivered once the full payment has been done, so my granny was thinking that she paid as the bed was already delivered, then she ask me why my granny was paying becouse she received the item and I said to her that this is an old women and she do not understand everything as you guys ( Bradlows) told her that she is not owing anymore. On the 05th of August 2017 SANA from Bradlows call my Granny again and ask her to come to the Branch on Monday (07/08/2017) so that the can sort the matter out, however she need to pay for her BED and they are sorry becuase what they have said its a mistake on her account. On the 07/08/2017 I called her she was RUDE and UNHELPFULL and said my Granny need to come and pay if not they will come and collect her bed, of which I do not understand cos my Granny went twice to them try to pay now suddently if she dont pay the bed will be collected on which ground as there are the ones at fault. On the 08 my Granny went to Machonisa to borrwo money to pay scared that the bed will be collected, after making the payment, the same person ask my Granny to pay the balance which is R1400 to settle the bed or the bed will be collected. My granny went again to borrow money to settle the bed, so I wanted to know is how Bradlows works and treat the old people or people? And I wont like The Bradlow CEO to contact us in this regards as I feel its unfair to what they did to my Granny as she is a pensioner and not working, or this matter will be escalated to Ombudsman for further assistance. Thank you.
