Genuine Leather Lies

On the 23/11/2018 we, myself and my husband, walked into a Bradlows Phoenix and was met with a very persuasive salesperson. We were looking to purchase a genuine leather lounge set. He showed us a very beautiful set that matched our needs, advised us to come back the next week as it would be black friday speacial and we purchased it based on the information he had given us. He said that the sofa tops was genuine leather and the backs were fabric. We need to clean it with water and have no sun reflecting on it and we will have it for 10-15 years. Two years later my sofa is in the most pathetic state ever. The sofa is tearing and I had sent it back to them, they quoted me R4000 to repair which was ridiculously high thats more than 30% of what I paid to fix 1 sofa??? I got my sofa back after about 20 calls to the Phoenix Plaza branch, I was being pushed back to the warehouse and then to the branch, called your head office competely unhelpful as well. I then contacted a very reputable upholstery company only to be told this is synthetic leather and not REAL!!!! What the ****** hell. They sold me a **** set at R13k I would have glady paid for a sofa that would have genuinely lasted me 10 to 15 years I am now sitting with a sofa that hasnt even lasted for 3 full years?! I now go look up this sofa and you have the description as leather look and hard wearing and will give you years if comfortable seating...I DID NOT EVEN GET TO 3 YEARS!!!! I am extremely ****ed off at the fact that I was sold a very expensive set under false information and I am going to seek legal advice.
