DISSATISFIED

Good day

I have purchased a lounge suite 3 years ago. In January 2020, I have visited Bradlows Promenade to advise about the defect of the couches. 1 of the 3 seater couch started to tear and 1 of the 2 seat couch has collapsed. In February 2020 only the 2 seater couch was collected as the individual who booked the repairs only booked the 2 seater couch. The spring was fixed and the 2 seater was returned to me (not acceptable condition though as the bottom of the couch was cut opened and not closed again). The 3 seater couch was collected in March, then I received a telephone call from a gentleman at Bradlows advising me that the cost of the repairs will be R5 000+ for 1 seater of the 3 seater couch. I have queried this amount as it was completely outrages as the cost of the lounge suite was +R18 000,00 and to repair the bottom (which is the sitting side) of 1 of the 3 seater couch was way too costly. I have queried if the amount can be paid off and the gentleman advised me that it can. I was very upset and concerned at the same time about the amount payable for minimal repairing work. Then it was lockdown and in June my husband has contacted Bradlows to query about the couch. The same day, I received a call from the same gentleman whom I've spoken to in March advising me that seeing that I'm not going to pay the amount requested, they will return my couch. He has not provided me with an opportunity to state that that was not agreed upon and why was my couch not returned to me in March prior to lockdown as he has contacted me way before lockdown occurred.

The quality of the couches speaks volume and more and more tearing is happening on the couches now, which shows the poor quality of material being used at high costs.

I have initially lay-bye the couches, but then ended up paying the lump sum in cash. This was my hard earned money and to think that I was under the impression that it was a good investment, yet Bradlows' quality differs.

I have purchased couches in 2006, which is still in an excellent condition which only cost me R5 000,00. The quality of the cheaper couches are more of an investment than the poor quality of Bradlows' expensive couches.

Bradlows will never ever receive any support from me or my family and friends and I will make it my work to take pictures and load them as to the disgust I have towards them.

I have been a loyal customer along with my husband, but never will they receive any support from us again.
