Deception and Employee ethical misconduct

Dear Bradlows I'm very infuriated by the deception and ethical misconduct that my partner and I encountered and endured at your store by your employee and I hope to receive remedial action which will deter this kind of behavior in future

On the 23rd of May, I went in-store at the BFN branch to get a quotation about a bed on credit and I was assisted by a male individual whom on my documents appears as Molaoa.T. He then app**** for credit and said the process had not been completed and that we should come back the following day due to loadshedding. During this interaction with him, he was unprofessional and even sent me and email that reads "hello love you thanks" when I had requested him to sent me blank email so that I can email him the documents that were missing On the 24th of May, he called to tell me that we need to complete the application for credit and confirmed that I will be there after 4pm. My partner and I arrived shortly after 4.15pm at the store with the intent to complete the credit application and obtain a quotation for the bed we were enquiring about. During this process this particular employee made us sign e-paper which he kept ensuring us is for credit approval from the head office and when we asked for the papers to read the terms and conditions before we sign those papers, he refused and informed us that it's not necessary because these papers were only just for credit approval however we got concerned because he then told us we need to link the debit order, to which we asked him "how is it possible that we are approving a debit order if this is only for credit approval, this doesn't make sense please give us those documents so that we can read them and understand what we are signing for" the employee then refused to give us the documents and maintained that these documents are what the head office requires for credit check. Then I ask the other employees if this is the correct procedure and how things are done because I'm confused by the process as to how do I approve a debit order if this is only for credit approval and the two female employees just giggle, and I ask for the second time if this is standard procedure for a credit approval and they just keep quiet and not answer me. Then I allow him to proceed because he has informed me that it's for credit approval. He goes through the documentation quickly and because I could see the second screen, I asked that he slows down so that I can see what he is agreeing to so that I know what I am signing for, to which he ignored my statement and made a comment in Sesotho and I will paraphrase it ' Sometimes working with people who have went to school and understand computers is difficult however, it's easier working with old people from the townships because they don't know how to read and write.' And I found this statement to be very distasteful and pecu****. During the time he was doing a quotation, he chose a bed that was R4000 more than what I wanted and had to show him that he made a mistake and even on the delivery fee, he chose the expensive one for R500 than the R300 that was required for the bed and he shared the same sentiments of the above mentioned statement he had made.

After this whole process, we asked him when will we receive the credit approval and how long will it take so that we can check that we can get a quotation. He said it can take a day or two

The following day, 25th of May, my intuition tells me that this employee **** because I couldn't put my finger as to why I had to approve a debit order if I'm still applying for a credit approval. Thereafter, I called the head office in the morning with my work phone to enquire about this process. The person who assisted me then informed me that there has been an order placed for a bed and that the process that was done was for purchasing the bed and not for a credit approval and I get upset because essentially this male employee has made us purchase this product under the false pretenses of obtaining a quote for us. Shortly after that I receive an SMS stating that my bed will be delivered on the 27th of May, to which I called the male employee to ask him as to why am I having a bed delivery when I was in store to enquire and obtain a quotation, and I did not understand the answer he provided me with. Then I texted him on whatsapp requesting he email me the details of everything I had signed for and he said he can't email the documents, to which I rep**** that I will pick them up in store after 4pm

During this whole process, we did not receive any quotation, terms and conditions, insurance, NCR documents and any other documents and this shows that this employee was deliberately manipulative in how he handled this issue and my issue is if this is the treatment I received, then how do you treat your illiterate customers?

I am very upset by this deception because I believe he also made me opt for insurance because I had stated that I don't see the need for me to have insurance for this particular item and he stated that "it's a must that we give you insurance if you don't have insurance otherwise they will not grant you with credit approval"

I'm very much appalled by the deception and I want action and accountability to be taken upon this employee because by virtue he made a choice for us in the type of product I want because I initially went there to get a quotation and now I can't even change the product because he has purchased this product on our behalf in false pretenses that I'm still to obtain a quotation because the application must still go to their head office for credit approval before I can get a quote
