Complaint Regarding Early Debit Order Processed Without My Consent
I am writing to formally raise a complaint regarding a debit order processed on my Bradlows account in December.
My debit order is scheduled to be deducted on the 20th of each month. I understand that during December, debit orders are often processed earlier due to early salary payments. However, Bradlows sent me an SMS notification advising that if I would not be paid early, I should click on the provided link to select a preferred debit date. I followed this instruction and submitted my preferred date accordingly.
Despite this, the debit order was still processed on a date that I did not agree to, at a time when I had not yet received my salary. As a result, I was left without access to essential funds that were urgently needed. I further incurred additional costs and inconvenience by having to contact customer services to request a reversal, which I was informed would take up to three days to process.
I would like to understand the purpose of requesting customers to confirm their preferred debit date if this information is not adhered to. This situation has caused unnecessary financial strain and inconvenience, which could have been avoided.
I trust that this matter will be investigated and that steps will be taken to ensure that customer instructions are respected in future.
