Beware of Bradlows, they are Famous ******** who sell old damaged furniture to customers.
My Dad bought bedroom suite at Bradlows Tsakane Mall on credit in 2018. The bedroom suite was delivered late in the evening, wrapped in transparent plastics which was one thing that surprised us as we know that whenever a furniture is delivered it had to come in boxes. My parents did not uncover the suite but When they looked at it the following day through the plastics, they noticed that it had some damages and missing handles. They then went to the store to report it and they were told that the lady who was their sales person has resigned and that they will wait for the head office to come to our house to check and bring the handles as they did not have them in the store. No one from the head office ever came to check or bring the missing handles, since then my parents did not open the bedroom suite which was wrapped in plastics but waited for it to be collected.
For the past 2 years my parents were paying for a furniture that they were not using, they paid interest for something that was supposed to have been collected. We struggled to resolve the issue until last year late, when someone from the head office came to collect the furniture and replace it with something else.
Upon collection of the damaged furniture, my parents were told that their account was going to be closed and cancelled since they had been wronged by the store and considering that they were paying for a furniture that was not been used. They were then told to pay R6000 so that the account can be closed and for them to get the replacement for the furniture they paid for without using which they did. I learnt recently after double checking the slips they got from the store after they paid the R6000 they were told to pay that they were given a sales slips for the R6000 they paid, and nothing has been done to close the account. Guess what, once again they ****med my parents as they always deal *****edly with customers.
Today as we speak, we keep getting message that my dad is in arrears with his account, which according to our knowledge it was supposed to have been closed.
I phoned the head office, they asked me to send an email, I did and still they haven't closed the account or reverted back to us to explain what is happening. I have been sending them messages from January reporting the matter and they kept saying it is being investigated, all this while I was never told who I am speaking to or given any reference number, only today when I asked them about the outcome of the matter that I was told that I have being talking to Marvel and they have decided that I should pay money for the account that was supposed to have been closed. all this while I was never called or emailed to be notified about the decision taken but have been harassed by messages demanding payment. do not be fooled they do not uphold the Consumer Goods Service Code, phoning their customer care service is just a waste of time believe me after they've made their sales, they don't care about you or your complaints as a customer.
We are tired of being taken for granted by Bradlows and we want to have the issue resolved ASAP. We have been thorough a lot with the furniture that was damaged, wrapped up and home just like the way it came, taking up space for nothing and having to wait 2 years before being helped.
Please take my advice and never buy anything at Bradlows, they are ********, they will sell you old damaged furniture which you will be stuck with. Anyone with information on how I can involve the law to help me on the matter please assist.
