Bad Service and **************** at Bradlows Northgate

I put a 4 plate Defy stove on layby (March 2019) at Bradlows Northgate.

I paid off the total amount for the stove on 25th May 2019 at which point I was advised that I had to bring my own transport as I had not paid for delivery fees at the point of taking out the layby. This option was never given to me by the salesperson from the onset. I spoke to the manager by the name of Rudzane.

The following weekend on the 1st June I returned to the store to collect my stove to which I was then advised by the manager that I had to pick up the stove from the warehouse in Jet Park or in Alberton. When I mentioned that he had advised that I can collect from the shop he advised that deliveries are done from the warehouse only. Now, I have purchased from this store before and this is the first time I heard about deliveries from the warehouse.

The manager was not helpful at all and instead asked to look at a demo stove which I flatly refused as the demo stove was damaged on the side. I asked for a refund to which he advised that it would take 14 days for the refund to be made. I left the shop in a huff because this was very frustrating. The manager had advised that he could get deliveries on Thursday 6th or Saturday 8th and would get my stove to come as well. I then called him on the 6th June and asked if he had received deliveries and he said no.

At this point, my sister spoke to him and reminded him of his role, responsibility, and accountability as the manager of a shop. He didn't take to kindly to this and ended up saying he was now being taught his job. He later on yielded and advised that he would make sure that I would get the stove on Saturday. He advised that he would call me later on that Thursday and advise.

He did call and advised that he was trying to get the delivery done.

To this day I still have not received feedback as to where my stove is. This is a fully paid for stove and I am getting no joy from Rudzane. Frankly he was not helpful at all but instead fueled the fire of this situation. All I want is my stove nothing else.

I am never purchasing anything from this store again and I will certainly make sure that I let everyone know of the rude store manager at Bradlows Northgate.
