Approved but not approved

Did a application online with bradlows and got a email stating that i was approved for Credit to the value of R40 000.00 and when contacting the branch get told that i was not approved and that i have to wait a approval still. How can i be approved and then still wait for approval. Dealt with Rina and Elsabe at Bradlows at East Rand Value Mall Bradlows ********** 545
