Can this happen with modern technology)

My daughter purchased a car battery from them. From the beginning she had to use a charger. Two garages were unable to rectify the problem. When she recently, after 2 years, had to replace the battery, she was informed by the supplier that she was given the wrong battery. I am awaiting feedback from Brackenfell Onderdele.
