Vehicle Overheat

I had to be calm before I can write this review to you, because I was beyond upset with one of the service station. On Monday 27th of May 2019 I went to BP Bara service station to pour petrol, I use this service station not because is the nearest as there’s Engen opposite it but because of benefits I get. I had petrol in my so I went to fill up with R350.00 and tank was full for the week, I asked the petrol attendant to check my tyres also and water and oil. He did that, I left the garage drove to work after driving for about 26kms I started seeing steam coming out of my bonnet the car was over heating I had to stop on the freeway with no help as I had now water in my car. I called the garage they told me manager was not he will be in a meeting the whole day. Then I called my insurance which helped me to tow the vehicle to the nearest garage to get the water and drive to work. I know this might sound like I’m being pitty as I got help but the disappointment is this is not the first time the incident happens, this was the second time same thing happens and at the same garage, first time it happened I waited for the manager to call me back ended up calling him and then he carried on as if I was just over reacting about the whole incident and what was worse he asked me if wanted to speak to the attendant who assisted me when I told he supposed to handle this complaint as a manager he asked me how else should he handle it. Now on Monday when I got to the office I called the service station again spoke to the lady (didn’t get her) then she told me manager is not there whole day then the other guy took the phone asked me what happened I told him (I also didn’t get his name) he took my number and said the manager will call me when he gets back today is Thursday, 30 May 2019 and no one from the garage has called me. I know the service station has lots of customers and I might not even matter in that fact but the attitude given there might one day cause the whole thing to shut down. I must say I’m really disappointed with the way this matter was handled. I could have being injured or worse my vehicle could be damaged because of this negligence and no one seem to care about the whole thing at BP.

Good day Celestinah,

We're very sorry to hear about the bad experience you had at one of our BP sites.

We will be sure to take this up with the site management as the customer experience at our BP garages is very important to us and we are committed to ensure that our customers are provided with the best service, whether they refuel or use other services.

As per our telephonic discussion I have now escalated that matter with our team at the BP Bara where management will be in contact with you regarding the matter.

Regards,

The BP Customer Service Team
