The worst Company to work for (Workers well-being do not really matter)

Mbulelo Zenani was involved in an accident at work where he got run over by a car coming from behind in between pumps meaning while at work 22/05/2019 at BP Sheffield Lenasia South late that day. He then got a ride from the same person who ran him over to take him to the Local clinic where he was referred to Baragwanath and was in pain while waiting for something to come take him to Bara where he then called a neighbour to come take him to Bara because he did not get anything for pain while waiting he was then taken to Bara and was seen and referred back home with no strong medicine for pain and was advised the car that drove him over cracked on bone on his feet ,but what’s shocking is the up until today he has not received any money for compensation of which the company said they app**** for it on his behalf no injury on Duty nothing ,he depended on pain medication which finishes his money also and he then went to work and could not last a day and they sent him back home but how is he supposed to survive cause there is no help that is getting at all from the Garage and when he family calls to try and talk to the Manager Lucria she advised she was on Vacation last week and will sent someone to come attend to him and that person has not arrived till today

Firstly Company was supposed to call him an ambulance and take him to private hospital That did not happen Secondly help him with injury on Duty and compensation fund we doubt that was app**** for Thirdly the Day he got sick at work they were at least supposed to remedy the situation by taking him to hospital and have him properly checked I mean they know his Salary he cannot afford to take himself to private anything be in Doctor or Hospital.

Good Morning Zandiswa,

We're very sorry to hear about the bad experience Mbulelo  has received on site taking into account that his part of the BP family.

Kindly note that I have escalated this matter to site management at  BP Sheffield Service Station. where we were told that everything has been logged in already for Mbulelo.

We have also tried to contact you to provide feedback on this matter, but all attempts have been unsuccessful as your phone ring continuously

Kind regards.

Reviewer Update
Good day

Please be advised I have called Mbulelo just now and he maintains that there is nothing done for him and he is still in the dark about what is happening ,he has not signed any documents for compensation of injury on Duty and all that the management has been able to do is duck and dive and he is not sure what they mean about logged .

Someone in the company should be able to seat down with the employee and say what will happen now that they are injured and what is expected of him and what he must expect as well must be clear .They must not be left wondering what is happening now and where must I be now.

Another thing is I’m sure even if that its a BP Family they still have to adhere to the rules as to how everything should be handled as BP because at the end of the day if they do wrong it affects the broader BP Family.

So I feel they need to answer as to why the case of Mbulelo was handled the way it was from the onset and what are they doing to remedy the situation.

And they need to be investigated thoroughly to see if they adhering to the agreement of the Franchise period

and I would like for someone responsible for this inquiry at the head office to find out the truth from the Employee as well ,I hope that is not asking too much and sorry I missed your calls but I have my phone now
