REPULSIVE SERVICE AND ATTITUDE
We filled up at the BP garage on Umbilo Road (opposite the Anglican church), Durban and asked the attendant to check our oil and water. He dropped the lid that shuts the water compartment and it landed at the bottom of the engine. When he asked if we had a cellphone with a torch to assist him look for the lid, we told him we didn't and told him to find a solution because our time was being wasted. He then became rude - told us not to give him attitude, carried on joking about the incident. When we asked why they hadn't called the manager to attend to the situation, an attendant called Siyabonga said there is no manager. When the initial attendant eventually found the lid, he became even ruder. I asked him for the manager's name, surname, along with his, he refused, said there is no manager. He told us to go ahead and report him. These two attendants then left, and another attendant informed us that the manager is actually Siyabonga. After we refused to leave without their details, he reluctantly told us the initial attendant's name is Warren Ncidi , and he (the manager) is Siyabonga Mthembu. We were told to wait, he would sort it out, and when we complained he told us to leave.
