Poor customer service and management

On the 16th December 2018 at approximately 5:45pm, I came into your Bp watercrest Convenient store to purchase ice and a 2lt C***** orange nectar juice. Unfortunately the ice was out of stock. i proceeded to take the 2lt juice and went straight to the cashier (Nombaly). There was no one in the queue, so she asked me straight to the till. She proceeded to scan my item and as I was about to pay, a white patron came an stood in the queue behind me. This caught Nombaly's attention and she politely asked the gentleman behind me to come to the next till and she quickly scanned his items and he quickly left the store.

I was left flabbergasted that she would leave me without explanation and serve another person while I would be paying my money. I became irate and confronted her. She didn't care! she just brushed it off as something she is allowed to do, maybe at her discretion.

I really felt unfairly treated and degraded by this ordeal. I felt to going to social media but then I decided to engage Bp management as sometimes we are quick to post and tarnish the company name. I strongly hope that Bp will take this situation seriously as if not, this will play itself again in the near future.

Nombali needs to personally/ telephonically apologise to me so she can understand and feel whats its like to be at the receiving end. she needs extensive customer care training because losing one customer is losing one too many.

Good day Lunga,

We'd like to extend our sincere apologies for the bad experience you had at the BP Wavecrest convenience store.

Here at BP we believe all our customers should be treated equally and that no customer should be made to feel less important than another.

We will treat this with the seriousness it deserves and address the issue accordingly with the garage in question.

Regards,

The BP Customer Service Team
