Faulty Fuel Pump - BP N1 Oasis South

Dear BP

This Morning on the way to work, I stopped to fuel up my 2013 Renault Sandero Stepway at BP N1 Oasis South.

I left to go into the store and when I got back I see that 60litres of fuel has been filled into my car, A car that has fuel tank spec of 45 Litres as per the manufacturer, even if we over estimate and assume that the tank can actually take 50 Litres when empty ( which it wasnt to begin with), Your pump number 10, managed to cram in 60 Litres with a value of around R767, into my car, So in essence with the 5 litres or so that may have been in the tank already, It turns out the Sandero actually has a fuel tank capacity of around 65 Litres!!

Do you guys have an explanation for this? My fleet card declined as a result and I had to pay a difference of R167 with R600 being taken on the fuel card with a restriction of 50litres. (Attendant mentioned that it was error 05 on your machine)

Btw I have owned this car from new and I have NEVER filled over 47 Litres in it, even after driving for 60kms with the fuel light on during the shortage when the delivery trucks where on strike.

I have the slips and a picture of the reading on the fuel pump.

The questions I propose:

Are you pumps properly calibrated? and if they are, how does so much fuel go into my car?

And how many other people are you doing this to?

Looking forward to your response.
