Failed promotion

A few weeks ago Discovery Insure had a promotion whereby you could get a free car wash at selected BP filling stations. The first problem is that they did not offer this at any BP's in the southern part of Johannesburg. The second, and more serious, problem, is that I went out of my way to go to the BP station in Smit Street, Braamfontein, which was advertised as one of those giving the free car wash. When I arrived there, there was a sign up saying that they were not participating in the promotion. Maybe both BP and Discovery Insure should ensure that all the bases are covered before costing their customers valuable time and money chasing up on ethereal promotions.
