Contaminated Fuel

On the 3rd of January 2015, I refueled at BP Sparks Road in Durban and within 30 minutes, my 2013 Jetta 6 with a mileage of 19500 km stalled and the EPC light came on. Since it was under warranty, VW took the vehicle to Hoopers VW Smith Street and after 10 days, I was informed that the engine came back from the Engineers and no fault was found with the vehicle and the reason for the damage was contaminated fuel. I called BP South Africa and they did a fuel test on the vehicle and the result was a \pass". VW had contested the results and did their own fuel test independently and the result was \""fail\"". <br> <br> I am without a car for exactly 6 weeks now and everyone is passing the buck whilst I now have to pay R 33 000 (excl incidental expenditures to solve this matter ) to repair the damage. <br> <br> I met a person who had the very same damage to his vehicle at the very same service station and won his case against BP. He is willing to provide an affidavit and proof that this service station might be mixing water with petrol???! My suspicion is that the fuel price was going to drop on the Wednesday (7th of January) and there COULD be a possibility that the service station added water. <br> """
