BP won't take responisbility
Contaminated petrol from BP, engine damage R60 000. Filling station owner admitted to a problem.
We have 2 witnesses of station's tank being drained the day after and BP Head Office's records reveal requisition of a fresh load.

From a sample BP Head Office conceded the car's fuel contaminated with water. A further sample was also obtained from the station but only a full three weeks later, when the station replenished as stated above. They then had the impudence to declare a no-match.

Pictures taken of station's tank show it out of commission and locked, the attendants saying BP technicians there most days and condemning the tank owing to ongoing problems of water.
Despite our vehement pointing-out of the sample mismatch, BP declared they not liable and more compelling evidence needed.

Meanwhile the filling station owner refused to write a note supporting our case saying \his mother told him never to sign anything because it would always land him in trouble."

We thereupon appealed to our insurer Alexander Forbes who paid out on the spot.
With all we had"
