BP refund a nightmare
On Thursday the 25th of January I went into BP Dobsenville to fill up my car, this choice was made due to the competition #Januworry that was on going.
The attendant pours R700 worth of petrol and gives me the POS machine to punch in my pin. After the a number of attempts (POS kept losing connectivity and cancelling the transaction) the transaction completes and I make my way. I pick up a mistake of which the service station charged me R7000.02 rather than R700.02 . The difference is R6300 so I go back to the service station andso that the team can assist with a refund. Eventually they hand me a refund receipt, tell me the refund will happen the next day and I make my way.
The following day I return and to query my refund and the team tells me that it will take 5 working days. I wait the 5 working days still no money in my account. I call BP SA head office to report the case and they tell me that I must call the bank as the bank is holding up my refund. I ask to speak to a senior individual but they take my number and not call me back.
I do not know if BP are now ******** people at their service station and business they are a large corporation they will not assist as there is not much little old me can do. I am still waiting for my refund and have no response from the the entire BP South Africa team.
I hope this assist with getting their attention and at least apologize for the inconvenience.
