Bad service at Bp garage in Malibu Village Bluedowns, Capetown

BP Garage Malibu Village, Bluedowns Cape Town.

I am aggrieved by the lack of respect from one of the petrol attendant.

We arrived at the garage and waited at the pump, waiting to be assisted but seeing that there were cars who were being serviced that arrived after us, so we called this attendant named Thina/Tina so when we asked him why are they serving cars that arrived after us and we’re not getting serviced. His answer was “I only service vehicles in my pump station” and so we asked then who is servicing this pump, he answered nonchalantly “they’re there inside” that was with an I don’t care attitude lashing at us. He followed up to say “You can service yourselves since you have a lot to say “ and continued and left us there. He didn’t even go to another pump station he went to have a chitchat in the window.

1. What training does the company give to their new appointees? 2. To what extent is customer service done to staff. 3. What is the requirement needed to appoint an attendant and the supervisor on duty.

We reported this to the supervisor Amanda who then went to ask this Thina guy to come and apologise; he blatantly said he is never going to do that.

1. We were delayed as we were rushing to a meeting 2. We received a poor service from the guy 3. We felt disrespected and undermined by the attendant.

This matter was not even resolved, yes we had to wait and be served by someone else who was serving at a different station. I hope the company will correct such gross behaviour by their staff member.
