Unpleasant service

I visited the Vosloorus Chris Hani liquor‑store branch on 11 November 2025 at about 16:30 with my ten‑year‑old son. The security officer at the entrance, employed by BKL Security, told me I couldn’t bring him in because children aren’t permitted in the shop. I explained that my son doesn’t drink alcohol and asked that he wait outside, but the guard insisted on the rule. I then requested to speak with the supervisor, Mathuto, who confirmed that minors are not allowed inside. However, the staff didn’t produce a written liquor‑licence policy explaining this restriction, and the guard added that stores in this area aren’t as “desperate for sales” as those in the suburbs. As a regular customer, I’m concerned that I’ll have to leave my child outside each time I shop, which feels unsafe. What would be the best way to address this?
