Misleading
While viewing YouTube clips an advert pop up dealing with a dietary supplement (Testo Extreme ) and offered was a free trial with only the cost being that of postage and packaging. I completed the online details , including credit card details, for the product as advertised but on "sending" the information confirmation popped up advising that I will be receiving 2 products, the 2nd of which (No Extreme) I did not ask for. No email confirmation arrived thereafter of my order which I did find strange at the time but left this. Delivery would be in 5 working days. It was roughly 5 working days later on the 23/10/17, that a delivery was made. Included was an un-priced delivery note dated 20/10/17 . Reviewing my credit card statement at month end I was shocked at what I was charged for the two supplements of 60 tablets each namely R1025.00 and R1074.00 respectively while expecting a charge of approx R320.00 . The delivery note had a customer care number (+27 21 ********** ) which I called and my call was answered and explaining my displeasure at the price charged I was glibly informed that if I was not satisfied with the products I should have returned them in 7 days. At no time watching the promotion was it made clear that if I was not satisfied with the products I would have to return them for a refund, which actually is acceptable but from when does the 7 days start, but more importantly it was not made clear at all what I will be charged if I did not return the products which should have been only one and not two products in the first place. I am not certain of the product anymore nor whom I am really dealing with. From the delivery note I surmise it is purely a freight forwarder / logistics company. There are comments from other consumers on Hello Peter who have experienced the same thing as I have and some have described the whole business as being a total ****. Question I have is when does the deadline for returning goods bought online pass, when in this instance it took 6 days from ordering the product, assuming the date on the delivery note was made out on the same day / date as my order, to receive the product and then another 8 days for the transaction to be put through on my credit card before I could see the cost related to this transaction. Anyway, how can I be satisfied with a dietary supplement within seven days from taking the supplement never mind be satisfied within seven days from ordering it or even receiving it. The cost of 120 dietry tablets in excess of R2000.00 is absurd and simply a ripoff. Bowline Fulfilment (Pty) Ltd should feel disgusted that they are part of this ****.
