No Refund
<p>PA system was hired for a teenage birthday.</p> <p>System did not work. Owner and Technician not available to fix or be on hand to rectify. Double the amount was spend for a replacement from alternative supplier.</p> <p>Claims he does not have to pay back the rental fee.</p> <p>Clause 10. 4 states that the hirer is to be notified timeously, of any faults or repairs needed</p> <p>This was done, but hirer was out of town and in his own words "in a bad reception area"</p>
This was a "Dry hire", All gear was tested before leaving the premises. upon inspection the fault laid with the cable being pulled out of the Speakon connections causing no sound to the speakers. As our cables are Soldered to the Speakon connectors we can only gather that the cables where miss used.
In light of the damage to the cables that are well over R 250.00 per cable the refund will be used to repair the cables.

The hirer claimed he had tested the whole system where infact the original speakers were replaced on collection as the orignals had blown one of its 3 speakers. The only components checked was the amplifier and mixer
Following on from that the abuse seems to come from the previous hirer.
The hirer agreed in writing via whatsap that he would refund the amount and is avoiding his commitments.
The hirer claims this is as per his terms and conditions.
I have asked for the terms and conditions that I signed and to date nothing has been forwarded.
The pricing of "fixing" the socalled connecters is very exorbitant as enquirys to other repair agents has proved.
The Hirer tested the equipment on its return including the connectors and could not find the fault.
When the refund was queried again, the stories started.
