Prescribed debt

I've received an sms stating that I should pay 99 rands for what I don't know. So I just thought what is R99 anyway maybe my medical aid couldn't cover for everything. So I pay the R99 after I get an sms that says thank you for paying the R99 your next payment which is R99 is due next month you now have an outstanding amount of R1332 more or less there.

Now I'm like what the hell. Are these ppl being smart about how they do things? So I call Botshilu Hospital to really understand what's going on. So I tell this lady that things don't add up cause the last time I was there was in 2019 so she confirmed that yes the amount is indeed from 2019, my medical aid didn't pay for everything. So now another thing was I'm getting phone calls from Shapiro guy lawyers or collecting companies for what? Why am I handed over about a debt I had no knowledge of and she said I'm sorry mam we have a knew company that's dealing with finance they are the ones that picked up this unpaid bill.

So now I'm expected to be pay because why I've the R99 so I sort of agreed? What happened to Prescribed debt? It's been 4 years

Ai shame this ppl really know how to mess up ppls lifes. I don't need this right now 4 years with zero knowledge no emai no phone call no letter. Then I'm expected to pay IYOH
