Boshilu Hospital Maternity Ward-- An anti climax for my wife and I

Upon admission at Boshilu My wife was processed by a great receptionist called Keneilwe, being the face of the company we automatically assumed all will be well through her stay due to the amazing reception. The hospital was clean and serene as should any hospital be. My wife was there for an myomectomy operation which went well, this I was comfortable with because she has a good GP/Gynae who is resident there. My issue there became some of the nurses and catering service, at some point she was left in pain and only given pain meds after crying. At one point the ladies in her ward had to come to her aid because the call button was too far and she was still drowsy when they claimed that they had explained the pain pump to use whenever needed. When she finally regained strength to escalate the service i.e. Using the same glass for water for over 2 days or water jug being refilled (without being rinsed or washed) could even take over a day. The nurse she escalated to took things personally and walked out mid conversation to a point she never set foot in that ward again. The cleaning staff would only come in to mop the toilet and shower, stain marks at the bed area would be left that way, what stresses me is that even the little queries she had were never attended to or escalated to her doctor i.e. Not being to number 2 even 3 days after the op.

I don't even want to speak about the catering service, if I had not brought her something to eat she'd probably starve. I do understand that postop all she could have was soup, what she was served looked and tasted like instant soup diluted for 3 people instead of 1 serving, she asked for a bit of pepper to try and make it drinkable only for the nurse to respond by saying " where have you ever seen salt and pepper in a hospital?" knowing very well that each meal came with a satchet like that.

One moment the food is served with stainless ***** cutlery, the next it's reused plastic s****s with bite marks. I don't evened want to go into the presentation of the food because that alone was gross enough to give you nausea (I have pics if you need them)

The hospital has good nurses some we met just before her discharge but the bad fruit are ruining the black excellence banner. If these few but key things can be looked at I'm sure BOTSHILU can regain it's glory otherwise I'm sure a government hospital is better because you are already expecting such treatment. Her stay was so bad that she'd rather take pain and deal with things as an out patient than to go back, i.e she has a complication that she should've reported but refuses to till she sees her Dr for a follow up.
