Bothasig Clinic
My family and I have been going to Bothasig Clinic for a few years and they have always been really good as far as clinics go. But I was treated really badly today. My husband has bipolar disorder and sees the psych sister there every 6 months and I get his chronic meds there every month, but on the 20th he was scheduled to see the psychiatrist at Goodwood clinic (Bothasig does not have a psychiatrist) for a follow up to renew his script. We went and the appointment went as always. On Friday I went to Bothasig to pick up my husbands meds only to be told by the pharmacist that there was no script from the psychiatrist in his file. She told me to go and see a clinician to get a temporary script for the month just till he can see the psych sister a month later since she was fully booked. Since Id already been there for 4 hours that day for myself, I decided to rather make an appointment with the clinician for today as I didnt want to wait another 4 hours. So I went in and after a couple hours wait, finally saw the clinician and explained the situation to which she rep**** that she cant write a script for me without seeing the actual patient. I explained that the pharmacist told me it wasnt necessary for my husband to be there, only when we have the appointment with the psych sister. She kept telling me she cant give me a script and demanded to know why my husband wasnt there and I kept explaining that I wasnt told that he needed to be there, in fact was told he didnt need to be there. Eventually she wrote the script and I thought it was the end, but then she proceeded to accuse me of doing this a month prior also. I told her thats not true as we've never been in this situation and I definitely didnt see her about this before. She kept saying that she remembers me and that I tried to pull this before and gave her the same story and I kept telling her it wasnt true. I didnt want to keep arguing so told her that I must be losing my mind then, because I dont remember ever speaking to her about this situation before. To which she rep**** yes that it is me losing my mind and not her, because she remembers me. I was so shocked that she would accuse me of pulling a stunt to gets meds from her before, because Ive never done that. My husband has always had a script for his meds and we've never had problems before. This was literally the first time hes seen a psychiatrist and not get a renewed script. I dont even know what to do with this, because I left there just shocked and in tears.
