Dissapointed in Service
The Manager - Bossa Woodbridge Island My name is Megan Masela and I have been a regular customer of Bossa. I convinced my colleagues for our team building to visit Bossa Woodbridge Island. We booked a table for 6 people at your establishment under the name of Bronwyn. We arrived @ approximately 13:50 and was shown to our table (next to the kitchen (I presume, or where I saw a lady prepare pizzas)
We asked to have the beverages billed separate from our meal.
The Beverages Beverages - Slow, slow service. We often had to wait more than half an hour for our drinks to arrive and it was not even happy hour by that time. Our table was left in a state, was not cleared regularly, so you can imagine we are 6 ladies at a small table. Happy Hour was nothing to be desired - 30% off selected drinks only Shortage, and then you don't have Bacardi Rum which is the main alcohol for the ****tails. What a bummer! You did not have mangos - what a bummer So there was limited variety to choose from. Beverages - We spent +-R1700 on alcohol, I in my personal capacity spent R262 (2* Naked Girls Scouts, Frozen Margerita, 1*Castle Light Draught, 2*Bananas in Pyjamas, 1*Lollipop , 1*Tequila) I promise you I walked out there as sober as a judge. None of the beverages (well except for the castle light & tequila) tasted as if it had alcohol in it. The 1st Naked Girls scout tasted different to the 2nd one, I was informed it was not the same bartender. My colleague ordered a long Island - She had to give hers back to the waiter and ask him to ask the barman to add the alcohol as she tasted no alcohol. The waiter then informed my colleague that it was premixed that is why she could not taste the alcohol. My other colleague ordered a call me a cab which tasted like cranberry juice , if it was not for the 3 bottles of Red wine that was ordered in the beginning of their drinks order, they would have not even reached a bit of level of tipsy, but when we left @ approximately 18:40 everyone walked out there as if we just had a meal and quick drink - For that amount of money we spent - It was absolutely ridiculous.
The Meals Two of our area managers arrived at Bossa and sat at our table for a while. They had been with their other friends in the bar area, since their arrival and came to say hi to us. They each ordered a pizza and left again to their friends.
When the Bill came, we were charged service fees on food which amounted to approximately +-R166 (our food bill was approximately R1800) when we received our beverage (XYZ) bill , again we were charged service fees. When I asked the waiter why, he said because we were 8 people. This is just ludicrous. Usually establishments charge for 10 people & more that is a standard... These two people were not included in the booking and just merely came to say hi at our table.
The Wifi - Half of us could not connect, unsure as to what the problem was
The Service was extremely slow The Meals were good and value for money. The alcoholic beverages - you could taste no alcohol The Service Fee - Unacceptable for 6 people and 2 that sat for a little while My colleagues Displeased - Stated that we should have gone to Tiger's Milk Century City as the Happy hour was buy one get one free and the service was better.
For the +- R3300 we spent as 6 people; we could have had a weekend camp with food & alcohol included and had a blast of a time, instead we felt as if we wasted money.
Your feedback regarding this matter would be appreciated.
Regards
