After a long hot day my wife and I decided to go for a drink at the popular Bossa Social Cafe and Bar in Somerset West. We were greeted by a friendly waitress at the door and shown to some nice seats on the outside deck. A waiter came a few minutes later to get our order (Castle lite and Savannah lite) and we informed him we would not have a bite to eat. After about 15 minutes i saw the waiter conferring with other waiters pointing in our direction. Ten minutes later our drinks finally arrived. I made a comment of waiting so long and the waiter (#3) apologized. After finishing we decided not to wait another 15 minutes for the bill and decided to pay at the door. Our waiter was nowhere to be found and between 5 waiters nobody could print the bill or even new who the waiter was. This went on for another five minutes before number 3 came out, blamed number 4 for bad service. Alas, we managed to pay, but we left in a worse mood than what we arrived in after a tediously hot and long day! Btw, the restaurant was not that busy, and we saw numerous waiters hanging about, waiting for better days to come. What a disappointment!
