Bad Bossa
I visited Bossa Burgundy on Saturday the 29th of August. We booked a table for 10 earlier in the week to sit outside, but if the weather was bad (which it was), then we asked to sit inside. We arrived to a very miserable, unwelcoming manager who said they put our table inside due to the weather. It took him some time to actually greet us as he was communicating with another staff member. We found this quite rude.
Anyway, at first we were unsure whether we wanted to sit inside or outside though (because of a few smokers). There were maybe two people sitting outside because of the weather but we initially decided to find a table and sit outside. But as soon as we stood there for a minute, we decided it was too cold and asked to be moved back to our original table inside. We approached the manager again and the waiter told him we'd like to sit inside rather. He looked at us, walked to the door and asked for the staff to put the tables back together to seat 10. Shaking his head as he was doing this. He was clearly very unhappy about us 'changing our minds', almost as if we were messing him around.
Yes, we changed our minds. But we are also rightfully in a position to do that. And as a manager, he should have been accommodating to our needs as customers but he was anything but. No one was waiting to be seated so it's not like the place was packed and the table could have gone to someone else. He was just sour, rude and again, unaccommodating. It was really disappointing and initially put a dampener on the day, especially since we spent a decent amount of money at the establishment which I'm sure is much needed right now.
This review definitely doesn't fully describe his demeanour but trust me, it was extremely unpleasant. The manager's name is Werner. The only reason I would return to Bossa Burgundy is for the great vibe and food but he has really made me think again about visiting.
