Chemical burn from permanent eyeliner
I had eyeliner done by Lynette st Boss it up. These specials do not mention that you need to have a follow up session after 6 weeks in order for the tattoo to last. You need to pay twice. My eyes were very blurry both times from the numbing cream and I was very nervous driving home. The 2nd time, my eyes started watering and hurting so badly on my 20 minute drive back home, that I couldn't see at all. I eventually managed to get home but the pain just got worse. I went to the ER and they called an Opthalmologist who said I had a chemical burn from the material used . They gave me medication and I had to go to the ophthalmologist the next day. This all cost me a lot of money and I was in self payment gap with my medical aid. It cost more 5han R3000. When it all cleared up, I noticed that my eyeliner was uneven. This was partly from the artist and partly from wiping my running eyes and from the eye drops. Boss it up takes no responsibility and is not prepared to repair it at no charge. Lynette told me to look at her disclaimer which I signed. It doesn't mention damage done by her materials or herself © 2023 Boss It Up - All Rights Reserved.

DISCLAIMER
Permanent make up is a form of cosmetic tattooing where ***ment is placed in the dermal/epidermal layer of the tissue. Retention of the ***ment is out of our control, as it is determined by the patient’s skin type, how well they follow after-care procedures, as well as their immune system, therefore no specific result can be 100% guaranteed. Failing to do your touch up procedure will result in your new tattoo not lasting as long as it should and we will not be held accountable for the results fading sooner than the allotted time it should as discussed.
For all aesthetics procedures, it is imperative to follow your after-care or BOSS IT UP cannot be held liable for the desired outcome. Remember that with all aesthetic procedures, healing is part of the procedure and results are based on how well you care for it after. 50% is my responsibility and 50% is yours! DO NOT TAKE THE CHANCE OF PERMANENT EYELINER AT THIS SALON.
We had been in contact from the minute you reported your allergic reaction to the ink, and I ensured you were doing well. You even went on to request another booking to do another touch up with me and due to me not having been able to do it for free you threatened BOSS IT UP with this review. I understand your frustration, but you signed an indemnity agreement advising you that there are always risks of allergies or risks with any given procedure regardless that at most time are out of our control. You agreed to proceed with the procedure nonetheless. Unfortunately, no one can guarantee there are no risks with any treatment and in your case you had an allergic reaction to the ink.
The follow up consultations are a necessity and given the fact that that you are unemployed or pensioner I offered services to you at a reduced price as my love for my art is what matters most. In all my initial consultations with each client, I always ensure you understand the touch up is at an additional cost and many clients can attest to this. This is standard protocol for my business.
I sincerely wish you the best. I kept in constant contact to see how you were doing as the well-being of my clients are always my biggest priority.
I wish you the best and I hope you able to get free services at another make-up artist.
Take care!!
