Handed over without knowledge of account or notification prior

Please can someone help me understand how is it possible to hand someone over without prior notification . I have never been made aware of this account. Never have I received an email, letter or even an SMS notifying me of this then all of a sudden I have been handed over. What kind of business practice is this? . I'm not denying I was in ethekwini Hospital and I received various bills but not once have I ever received one for these crutches. I had to google the company to guess that this is in relation to the crutches. For 10 months no communication sent, no smses, emails or typed a letter, nothing. I think that is absolutely disgusting. I'm highly annoyed. I have no issue paying my accounts and bills, had I been notified even in January I would have paid this but to go from no knowledge of a bill to handed over is unfair business practices and down right *********. I won't keep quiet I will take this further. I'm not happy. Have you people ever heard of bill/statement?
