Siemens Gigaset A415 Serial No. S30852-H2505-W101

On 8 March I visited Makro Strubens Valley with the intention to purchase a new Siemens Gigaset. There were no Siemens products on display and when I enquired from the Sales Personnel they introduced me to a Mr Mike Otto of Otto Communication Systems who was in the store at the time. Mr Otto claimed to be the sole distributor for Siemens in Gauteng and he would deliver a Gigaset to my house. I was impressed by the good service offered which you would expect from a distributor representing Siemens. He delivered a Siemens Gigaset A415 Serial No. S30852-H2505-W101 for which I paid him R1295 in cash. He issued a hand written receipt Receipt No. 64 dated 8 March. The following I phoned and advised that the phone was defective. I could make and receive calls but the phone did not ring for incoming calls. He visited my premises and said he would have to send the phone to yourselves as that was Siemens policy. I found this unacceptable and demanded either a replacement or a refund. He said he had to go to see a customer in Ruimsig and would get back to me. He never contacted me and does not respond to sms's or emails. The Siemens logo is however on his website.
