Siemens appliances break

I own a guest house. About 4 years ago I fitted expensive Siemens appliances in the guest suites. One of the microwave ovens packed up even though it had been used only about 10 times. The price to repair it is absurd. I understand it is out of warranty but in terms of good standing and that the appliance has clearly not been used I imagined Siemens could make a plan to at least compromise on the repair cost. I have had numerous problems with Siemens/Bosch appliances and will certainly revert to appliances that have given me good service in the past.
