Iron bursts into flames

My year old Bosch iron, a few months outside of the guarantee period, burst into flames without warning. I went via Tafelberg Furnishers, and asked Bosch for an explanation, and replacement iron.<br> Several months later, after telling me they had to escalate the matter to their Johannesburg branch, i have no response. After getting Tafelberg to contact them, the response: The iron must have been left unattended as the burning smell would have alerted the user to unplug the iron. No explanation as to why the iron should be bursting into flames in the first place! <br> And after enquiry, my housekeeper explained that she had been ironing at the time.<br> If the iron had really been left unattended, the house would probably have burnt down.<br> I will never purchase another Bosch product again. Pathetic after sales service!
