BOSCH DISWASHER

29th March 2017 I bought a new Bosch diswasher from Game Stores, it came with a 3yr warranty which made it an attractive buy, and a good price. 12th July 2019 it had a heat pump fault which was repaired quickly and in a satisfactory fashion. A week ago aprox. 17.12.2019 it stopped working the tap light came on so I call in the technicians who came a few days later (weekends/Dec you allow for that) He turns it on and suddenly there is a whole flashing light display which he tells me is electronic failure , open the top takes a look at the electrical board inside, says the ****roaches have got in there and it is not covered by warranty - quotes us R2500 to get a new board. For starters when I had a plague of ****roaches the old dishwasher which was an AEG I think never had problems - I had since put poison out for them there and on the actual machine where the animals could not get at it - of course by now someone had wiped that off but they were down to a minimum by now - I need to put poison out again - and their activity never affected any of the other machines. Up to now with a couple of fixes and hitches my dishwashers have lasted 4yrs - the motor would eventually give up the ghost and I'd buy a new machine. So I sit here with a warranty that has three months to go under warranty, I cannot find a copy of a S. African warranty wording anywhere on Google, other countries yes, UK Warranty wording was there, didn't mention ****roaches there - and I cannot prove or disprove his claim to them damaging the board. Basically he looked at it said there are tracks and slapped the machine back together again. Well Bosch that was the first Bosch appliance I had ever bought and it is the last one I will buy. Your good name and 3 year warranty were worth nothing in the end. Those ****roaches have never damaged a lot of older machines around here they simply mess them if they get in and one has to clean. Especially the only light showing when I called him was the tap flashing nothing else. Now I need to find another R4000 min. for another new dishwasher because it doesn't pay to fix a part at R2500 plus callout with only 3 months left on the warranty. Their techies are fast to come and fix and do a good job but it seems they have left a lot of loopholes in their warranties.
