Bosch Dishwasher Boat Anchor

Thoroughly disappointed in terms of this purchase.

The noted dishwasher is hugely more expensive than Hisense, Defy and other household brands, but to receive a machine branded Bosch that is broken is disgusting.

The machine arrived on Monday 22 December 2025, it was connected to mains water and drain, instructions were followed in terms of hardness settings, and the unit was loaded with crockery and cutlery, after a dinner party last night, the one hour cycle was selected. Halfway through the cycle, our electrical mains earth leakage circuit breaker tripped, it was reset, this machine continued the cycle. Completing the cycle, an error code appeared on the screen E 09 – this indicates there's a serious fault in the heating circuit, usually a failed heating element or circulation pump (which contains the heater).

Currently we have a fully loaded dishwasher, with soiled crockery and cutlery, our reward for spending a load of money, for a brand that had a reputation, that was on special which included a supply of Finish Dishwasher cartridges, to fin only two satchels in a packet and still having to resort to hand washing our dishes.

I am absolutely disgusted that Bosch willingly supplies the market with an untested and substandard built machine, that is almost double the price of competitors, and does not do the claimed duty it is intended for, in fact could not successfully complete one clean,

I am demanding an immediate replacement, and a technician that installs and test the new unit, as this was an intended Christmas gift to my wife, which has resulted in a useless boat anchor in my scullery.

Should I not receive any positive feedback by COB today, I will post my dissatisfaction on every social network available.
