Bosch Customer "Service" Centre

Really poor service from the appliance service center. Dishwasher stopped heating water and was out of warranty. Filled in the form on their site; no response. Phoned a couple day later and logged the same call with the consultant.

After two days a person phones to come and look at the dishwasher. He wants me to pay R650 callout fee upfront before he will come out to look at the dishwasher (I live 400m from the service center).

So I asked if he can give me an estimate for replacing the heat pump to determine if it will be cheaper to buy new or repair. He can't. I ask if I can bring the dishwasher to them to avoid the service charge. I can't. He then asks if he should cancel the ticket, which, at this stage, I happily do.

Do a quick "dishwasher repair" Google search and pick a company; fill in their form and they call me 10 minutes later. They are at my house at 8am the following morning and replace the heat pump. He is amazed that Bosch couldn't give me a price for the job, since he claims to be replacing these almost every week.
