Bad after sales product support

Some 8 years ago I purchased new large appliances for our new home. These included a fridge / freezer, a coffee machine, a dishwasher, a washing machine and a tumble drier.

After careful research I selected Bosch products. Even though these products may have been a bit more expensive I believed that I was buying quality products with reliable after sales service.

The display on the fridge / freezer stopped working some time ago. It is electronic and it is now impossible to read the temperatures. I cannot change the settings on the appliance and have to hope that the current settings are suitable.

I ordered a new part and have now been told that the part is no longer available. This means I cannot alter the settings and the fridge is worthless as no one will buy it in this condition.

When I purchased the appliances I did not buy models that were cheap and about to be discontinued. I purchased on the basis that I would get more than 8 years use out of the fridge / freezer without having to throw it away.

Needless to say I will not be buying a Bosch product again!
