I took my 2014 Tata 2
I took my 2014 Tata 2.2l diesel bakkie to them because it used water and I was reasonably happy with the service the performed on my wife's car prior to this. The Tata performed well, was very economic on fuel, but I had to top up the water on a daily basis. It was never much, about 250 to 500ml daily, there were even days it did not require any top-up. Still I wanted it perfect and I took the vehicle to them for repair around the middle of March 2021. At first it seemed as if they were competent, but then I noticed the 'mechanic' working on my vehicle, had a total disregard of how to treat sensitive components like the fuel injectors, it was on the ground, uncapped, laying in the dust and grime, between all the other removed engine parts. when I remarked on this, my concerns were laughed off by the owner, Jonathan Stanworth. This eventually led to total failure on the injectors, for which I am now billed. It took 6 months for the repairs, which included a basic complete engine overhaul. I supp**** all the spares at great expense and the bottom line, after a R17080 bill, which includes a charge for a new battery replacement(also their fault), the Tata performs poorly, still uses water AND now overheats. I have lost income over the last 6 months because I am a building contractor and still cannot take new contracts as the Tata was rendered useless
