Poor customer service

I have always had Bosch products, both in the home and in the garage. I love "Bosch the brand" and recently had better than average customer service when we had a problem with our Bosch freezer. I tell my friends about Bosch and I recommend Bosch to anyone that will listen. However, today I had less than happy news. I recently ordered a replacement sanding pad (hook and loop type) for my Bosch orbital sander because my existing one wasn't holding the discs in place anymore. The replacement one duly arrived from the Bosch agents in East London (through our local BUCO branch) and I proceeded to get on with some work that had been waiting. After less than an hour I noticed that the sanding discs were coming off the machine. Thinking that is was simply because the disc needed replacing I attached a new disc and it felt okay until I turned the machine on and did some sanding. Within a few minutes the disc had come off. I took the pad back to BUCO to show them the problem (you could feel that the pad was smooth) and they called the Bosch agent in East London. After explaining the problem they gave me the phone so that the reason for the problem could be explained to me. Apparently, according to your representative, after continuous use the pad gets hot and the little hooks get soft and melt or get soft and go flat. Apparently this is a common problem. This is an industrial machine and is designed to be used constantly! I bought BLUE for that very reason. Your representative said: "Sorry, there's nothing we can do. We've told our head office and nothing has happened. Germany hasn't done anything about it." And that's it. I can't afford to buy another pad. I don't think I used 3 sanding discs on this new pad. And the sanding discs still have a lot of life left in them. They just stopped sticking to the pad which is why I kept changing the sanding disc to a new one. After the third one I realized the problem was with the pad, not the discs. I just couldn't believe it cos the pad was practically brand new. Please let me know what can be done about this problem. I need my orbital sander and will need to consider another brand if this is going to be "unsolvable". I look forward to hearing from you.
